Deep Clean:
Using the WINSOL maintenance system with an awning maintenance pole:
Insert pick-up tube into the WINSOL Deep Clean container. Turn water valve to the “on” position and adjust the metering valve to optimum cleaning level (refer to manufacturer’s recommendations to start). Clean each awning from the bottom to the top for best results and to prevent streaking. Turn metering valve off and use the clear water to rinse. Always rinse immediately to avoid streaking.
Cleaning coverage is about 5,000 to 7,000 square feet per gallon.
Hand Cleaning:
Mix 8 ounces of Deep Clean into 1 gallon of water. Using a brush of medium stiffness or an awning sponge, gently but firmly scrub awning from the bottomto top. Rinse immediately with clear water.
Cleaning coverage is about 5,000 to 7,000 square feet per gallon.
Foam Generating Systems:
Mix 2 to 4 ounces of Deep Clean per gallon of water in the holding tank. Lay out foam in an even pattern using brush to spread the foam. Allow to stand on awning surface for 3 to 5 minutes. Scrub with brush as required and rinse.
Recommended after care:
Awning Guard 690+:
One gallon of Awning Guard 690 Plus should cover 700 - 1,000 square feet of awning fabric and is designed to remain effective under normal conditions for up to a year with proper application and maintenance.
TO APPLY:
Mix or shake well before each use.
Awning Guard 690 Plus is best applied undiluted with a pressurized sprayer using an atomizer or fan spray tip. Overlap applications to assure complete coverage. Use only enough to dampen surface. Brush in with soft brush to assure complete penetration. May be applied over wet or dry fabric. Best applied to dry fabric with wide, over-lapping applications. Awning Guard 690 Plus will not streak or stain. Wipe all overspray from non-fabric portions of awning structures or buildings. Reapplication may be required due to environmental conditions and frequent cleaning.
Test for color fastness. Use only in well ventilated area.
CAUTION: Combustible during 2 - 4 hour drying time, up to 24 hours for heavy applications.
Awning Fabric Spot Remover:
CAUTION: Always wear rubber gloves, protective eye goggles, rubber boots and protective clothing when handling. Use extreme caution when cleaning around painted logos and lettering as product may remove or alter some paints and inks. Rinse often and thoroughly - do not allow to dry on fabric.
Awning Fabric Spot Remover may be diluted with water from 1:1 to 1:16 as a usual range. A good starting dilution is 1:8 in hot or cold water. Apply solution directly to awning with a medium brush or terry cloth and scrub gently to loosen and lift soils. Overlap scrubbing to avoid clean streaks. Clean an area small enough to allow immediate and thorough rinsing before moving on to next stain. Do not allow cleaner to dry on surface. After spotting, wash entire awning with WINSOL Deep Clean.
Awning Fabric Spot Remover should be used only on open-weave fabric and polypropylene awnings. If unsure of color transfer, test cleaner undiluted in an obscure corner under awning. Rinse and wipe with white cloth or towel and check for color transfer.
Fabric awnings should be waterproofed at least annually with Awning Guard 690+ to provide manufacturer’s recommended protection. Regular applications of Awning Guard 690+ will make recleaning much easier.
